King's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry (Light Infantry)
8th Battalion, The Light Infantry, was a Territorial Army unit formed in Yorkshire in 1987.
In 1996 it was converted to a reconnaissance unit and renamed The King's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry. In 1999 it was amalgamated into another regiment. it lasted for a little under three years.
