Harry woods was born in London 25 September 1889. Joined the Royal Navy September 1907 ( Boy II Class)
1914 serving on HMS Hussar, a Torpedo Gunboat. Served in the Dardanelles 1915.
To Tyne 1917 C.P.O. 1923 Long Service Medal awarded 1923. Shore pensioned September 1939 Pembroke I ( Train Guard ) September 1939. To the base Badger June 1940. Released from service November 1944
He was Mentioned in Despatches in the London Gazette 11 October 1940, under the heading " For good services when carrying out blocking operations in enemy occupied Ports
