The Order of Maternal Glory was as a Soviet civilian award commemorating mothers with a substantial number of children, created on 8 July 1944 by Joseph Stalin and established with a decision of the Presidium of Supreme Soviet of the USSR
The order was divided into three classes: first, second and third class. It was conferred to:
First class: mothers bearing and raising 9 children.
Second class: mothers bearing and raising 8 children.
Third class: mothers bearing and raising 7 children
